My Sister
(by Jessica Lynn Trouten)
My sister was the amazing one,
I'm proud of everthing she has done
Her life so short, I do not believe
that she just had to forever leave
I love my sister with all my heart
and I'm mad and sad she had to part
If you knew her like I did
You'd see that she was just a kid
She was a mother of two, a sister of three
The one who knew her best was me
Jas and Ang will never know
that their mom always had a glow
She brightened a room with a smile
She made living here all worthwhile
I could always call her when in need
I talked and she gave me the way to lead
Jenny may not have always been angelic
There can never be a replacement relic
She was a punk throughout the years
Made you grit your teeth and sneer
I will miss you Jenny, I really will
There's a place here in me no one can fill
I want you back, here for me
everyone else and us sisters three
Jenny it wasn't supposed to end like this
you were supposed to live long, and end with a kiss
Our past is filled with memories of you and I
and when I look back, I want to cry
I remember you'd always steal my clothes
You always lived a life I loathed
You always used to ask for back rubs
I'd give you a million and one & a soak in the tub
Jen, I know you're in a better place
and you'll do good, you've got a pretty face
Don't get wild up there in heaven
and I'll always remember you 24/7
I LOVE YOU JENNY
